You’re Invited To The Best Brunch Ever

Grab your besties and start looking for your cutest business casual attire. This is not a drill… THE I NEED BUSINESS BESTIES BRUNCH IS BACK!

On March 28, 2020, the second annual I Need Business Besties Brunch will take place at Neyow’s Palace in New Orleans from 10 AM- 2PM. Bigger and better than ever, I curated the event so women entrepreneurs in Louisiana to meet other like-minded ladies who are building generational wealth.

Mignon Francois, CEO of The Cupcake Collection

Last year, we celebrated celebrity fashion designer Rachael Mills, CEO of Rahael Mills Collection. This year’s honoree is Mignon Francis of The Cupcake Collection, located on Magazine St. in the Garden District. Facing foreclosure, Mignon exercised her faith and turned $5 dollars into $10 million by baking some of the best cupackes I’ve ever tasted in my life! Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the sweet lady who currently runs three brick and mortar locations in the U.S.

I’m sure by now you’ve seen the box office smash Bad Boys for Life. To date, the movie has grossed nearly $300 million dollars! This brunch is known for its BIG influencers; therefore, it is my absolute pleasure to have the movie’s casting director, LaShawnna Stanley, deliver the keynote speech at the I Need Business Besties Brunch!

LaShawnna Stanley, Bad Boys for Life Casting Director

LaShawnna, also known as “Boss Lady”, is the “Olivia Pope of Casting”. Originally from Kansas City, the teen mom and grandmother took her talents to South Beach to run her clothing boutique. As fate would have it, her passion for fashion led her to starting the multi-million dollar talent and casting company, Ethnicity Models, which has placed talent in commercials for Chevy, Burger King and a plethora of brands.

Boss Lady also serves as a life coach, and is the poster girl for manifesting one’s dreams. I CAN NOT wait to introduce my tribe to this Renaissance woman at the brunch. And speaking of the brunch, we’ve added workshops this year!

Werkaholic Koereyelle Dubose and business coach Wendy Nicole Anderson will be teaching you how to increase your coins with two money-making workshops, “Paycheck To Paycheck Is Played Out” and “How To Retain Clients & Keep Your Sanity”.

I’m also excited to connect you with three professional women I adore. One happens to be my sister, Dr. Marquia Whitehead, who share her expertise on how to pursue higher education without burning yourself out. This is an important topic since Black women are the highest group of degree earners, as well the overseerers of their side hustles and EVERYTHING else!

Dominique Haughton will be in the building representing her brand, The C.H.I.C. Therapist. Her method interwines clothing yourself in the armor of God and looks that are flattering to the individual. Life has proven that when you look good AND are healed from the inside out, you can move mountains—Period.

Founder of The Closet Ratchet™, Talia C. Oliver, will inspire women to bet on themseleves the way she has with her media company. A former editor at The Shaderoom, she is a content marketing genius who has built a platform by choosing to promote stories that celebrate the positivity of our culture.

Swagher Magazine and Ambir McMillan Web Designs are sponsors of the brunch. Purchase your tickets NOW!
